Beverly Harris, account manager, and Debra Fraire, branch manager, of Pro Search and ProTEMPS, Inc. in Dalton have been certified in the American Staffing Association’s Certified Staffing Professionals (CSP) program. This program enhances the competency and knowledge of labor and employment law of any professional who interacts with candidates, employees and clients.
In addition to being familiar with the ASA’s code of ethics, staff has been trained in employment law for staffing specialists and co-employment liability issues and concerns. They are encouraged to read “Staffing Law,” a digest of recent industry legal, legislative, and regulatory developments.
“It is critical that staffing companies understand the laws that govern the state of Georgia,” Janet White, president of Pro Search and ProTEMPS, Inc. “The risks and possible liabilities for noncompliance are extremely serious at the state and the federal level. We at ProTEMPS make compliance to, not only the law, but also the code of ethics established by the American Staffing Association a major part of how we conduct our daily activities with our employees and clients.”
