Submitted by Berry College

ROME — Three Berry College students are among the 80 college musicians selected to perform with the Georgia Music Educators Association All-College Band. The selected musicians represent a total of 19 colleges around the state including the University of Georgia and Emory University.

Students are nominated by college faculty across Georgia. The final selections are made by a statewide committee with representation from all institutions and instruments. This is the fifth consecutive year that Berry has participated in the event.

The All-College Band will perform at the conclusion of the Georgia Music Educators In-Service Conference, scheduled for Jan. 28-31, 2009, at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. Scott Teeple, director of the woodwind ensemble and associate professor of music at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will conduct. Call (912) 651-6556 for ticket information.
