IVC to increase production in Dalton

From Staff Reports

— Just a week after confirming that it plans to build an $80 million luxury vinyl plank and tile plant in Dalton, IVC US officials said the company will increase production at its existing facility in Dalton.

Starting March 1, IVC US plans to expand operations at its sheet vinyl manufacturing plant to 24-hours a day, seven days a week. It expanded operations to six days a week just last fall.

“The fact that we are able to fully utilize our investment just three years after our startup to elevate our manufacturing operations to a 24/7 model I believe speaks volumes,” said Xavier Steyaert, co-CEO of IVC US, in a statement.

“This could not have been accomplished without the meticulous dedication from our operations and manufacturing management teams and the tireless work and commitment from our entire IVC US staff,” he added.

IVC US Marketing Communications Manager Angelina Cebrian said the company will add jobs because of the increased production but could not say immediately how many new jobs will be created.

“We are already interviewing,” she said.

IVC Group was founded in 1997 in Avelgem, Belgium. In 2004, IVC US was incorporated to service the United States and North American markets, and in 2011 IVC US opened its first American manufacturing facility and new corporate headquarters in Dalton.
