Mohawk promotes Szczybor

Dennis Szczybor has been appointed to director of product management for Mohawk hard surfaces.

Szczybor will be a key leader for driving Mohawk hardwood, laminate, ceramic and congoleum resilient sales support in product, merchandising and programming. Previously, Szczybor served as a general sales manager.

“Mohawk continues to grow in hard surfaces, and Dennis’ role will be key as we keep building up this product area,” said Bob Leahy, senior vice president for hard surfaces. “He will work with various teams within Mohawk to drive the product and sales support strategies of the Mohawk and Congoleum hard surfaces brands.”

Szczybor is an 18-year veteran of the flooring industry. He began with Mohawk in 2000 by helping establish the company’s new hard surfaces division in the mid-Atlantic region. He was then promoted to general sales manager, first for hard surfaces, then for all products in his region. He joined Mohawk after 10 years with J.J. Haines & Co., the industry’s largest distributor of hard surfaces. He started as an intern with J.J. Haines and began full time employment upon graduating from Towson University in Baltimore.
