• WC Schools’ Nutrition Programs are being honored by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) for reaching high levels of student participation for 2011-2012.

• Ben Oliver, Math teacher at Southeast High School, chosen to serve on the Teacher Advisory Council with State School Superintendent, John Barge

• Eleazar Arreguin, 1st year teacher at Dawnville Elementary, receives a New Teacher Assistance Grant from Georgia Power.

• Phoenix High School receives grant for Reality Store

• Whitfield County Schools with CRCT Scores Higher than the State Average in Reading, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies for 2012-2013.
