The officers and members of Liberty Baptist Church are planning a pre-anniversary celebration for Pastor Rev. Jerry Burse and Lady Cynthia Burse Aug. 6-8 at 7 p.m.
Elder Claud Jones, pastor of New Beginnings Church, will be in charge of Wednesday services, with Thursday services led by Wiley Brewster of Abundant Life Church. A semi-formal black and white banquet will be Friday at the Heritage Point Park Pavillion. Admission is $10 for children and adults.
The celebration will culminate Aug. 10 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Charles McAfee of Shiloh Baptist Church as guest speaker. Lunch will be served following morning services.
The choir will celebrate its annual Choir Day Aug. 17 at 3 p.m. Any choirs or soloists wishing to participate are invited. For more information, call Keyaundra Broome at (706) 277-0643.

Deacon Miles will be in concert Aug. 23 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Heritage Point Park stage. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Groups may bring lawn chairs and blankets or have a picnic dinner. Food and games will also be provided. Admission is free.

Trinity United Methodist Church will continue its Christian coffeehouse series, Heaven at Seven, today at 7 p.m. in the Evans Family Life Center.
Special guests include Trevor Suits, Kathy Nunley and Vanessa Pritchard. Free coffee and soft drinks will be provided as well as homemade desserts (including sugar free). Admission is free; donations are accepted.

The Rev. James Braddy of Trion will be the guest speaker with special music by The Peachland Quartet of Flowery Branch. Lunch will be served after the service. There will be no Sunday school.

Center Valley United Methodist Church in Chatsworth will celebrate Round-Up Sunday Aug. 17 at 11 a.m. to round up strays who have been gone this summer. Lunch will be served after the service.

Greater St. James Overcoming Church of God will celebrate its 77th homecoming Aug. 10. The 11 a.m. service will be led by Pastor Nicky Starling. Lunch will be served after the service. Elder Wendell Smith of Hopewell Baptist Church will bring the 3 p.m. message.
