Wild game dinner to be at ChristChurch Presbyterian

Submitted by ChristChurch Presbyterian of Dalton

— The Men’s Ministry of ChristChurch Presbyterian of Dalton announces its upcoming wild game dinner on Saturday, April 20, at 6 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall. ChristChurch is at 510 S. Tibbs Road.

Jimmy Sites, an internationally known pastor, author, public speaker, television producer, humanitarian and family man, will be the guest speaker. The keynote topic will be “Living as a Christian Man in the 21st Century.”

Sites has served as pastor at churches of various sizes across several states during his professional career, and currently serves voluntarily as a preaching pastor at a church in the Nashville, Tenn., area. He is a published writer with articles appearing in numerous magazines, and he created the “Spiritual Outdoor Adventures ‘Pursuit of Faith’” resource kit which helps churches launch outdoor-related ministries for men. More than 3,000 churches are currently using this kit.

As a professional speaker, Sites’ engagements have taken him all over the world to locations in Africa, North and South America, Europe, Israel and New Zealand. He speaks to professional sports teams, Fortune 500 companies, private and public schools, government agencies, churches, youth festivals and camps, outdoor conventions and wild game dinners. He regularly draws from his own personal adventures across the world to teach spiritual analogies.

Sites is also heavily involved in television, and his latest and possibly most well-known project is the national award-winning series “Spiritual Outdoor Adventures.” The series began airing in October 2002 and is now entering its ninth season, reaching 68 million households weekly across the United States. The mission of the weekly program is to spread God’s Word across the world. Many celebrity guests appear on the show including country music artists, contemporary Christian singers, professional sports coaches and athletes, movie stars and well-known outdoorsmen and women.

The Men’s Ministry of ChristChurch Presbyterian invites the community to attend the dinner, to enjoy the delicious game and to have a great evening of fellowship.

Dinner will include various samplings of wild game, pork barbecue, sides and desserts. There will also be a raffle and door prizes. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the ChristChurch office or call (706) 529-2911 or visit www.ccpdalton.org for more information. After speaking at the dinner Saturday night, Sites will preach at ChristChurch on Sunday morning, April 21, at the 10:30 worship service and all are invited.
