Registration is open for the 22nd annual Georgia Senior Four-Ball Championship, which takes place Nov. 13-15 at the Country Club of Columbus and Green Island Country Club in Columbus.
This Georgia State Golf Association event is open to male amateur golfers 55 or older as of Nov. 13 and teams with a maximum handicap differential of six strokes.
The field will consist of 96 teams. The 36 teams with the lowest combined USGA Handicap Indexes will compete in the championship flight. Twelve teams with the lowest combined USGA Handicap Indexes will compete in the super senior flight (age 65 or older as of November 13). The remaining 48 teams are determined by lottery with four spots reserved for the previous year's flight winners.
During registration, players will choose either the senior division of the super senior division. The low 12 teams by USGA Handicap Index will make up the super senior flight for those teams that sign up for the super senior division.
If a team does not make the low 12 for this flight, it will either remain on a waiting list for the super senior flight or be placed in the overall field to be determined for the remaining 84 teams of the competition.
The format is 54 holes of flighted four-ball stroke play. The championship flight and super senior flight will compete at the Country Club of Columbus. Remaining flights will compete at Green Island Country Club.
Eligible players must enter at gsga.org by Oct. 23.
