Pass earns Extra Mile Award

Submitted by Gordon Hospital

CALHOUN — Ronald Pass has been awarded Gordon Hospital’s prestigious Extra Mile Award.

This special award was created by members of the hospital’s Employee Engagement Committee to recognize employees who go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis. It is awarded monthly to deserving employees selected by the hospital’s directors.

“Ron is really a joy to work with,” says Gordon Hospital Facilities Director Tim Lee. “His love for Christ shows in all he does. He is quick to respond to the needs of others, be it patients, visitors, or coworkers. Ron is a great asset to the Gordon Hospital family and he truly exemplifies our mission.”

Pass, who has been employed by Gordon Hospital for more than 10 years, serves as a technician for the Plant Operations Departments.

“I am honored to be considered worthy of this award,” Pass says. “But nothing I have done makes me more worthy than the majority of Gordon Hospital employees who are doing their jobs of extending the healing ministry of Christ to all we serve.”

Pass is a graduate of Calhoun High School and resides in Calhoun with his wife of 38 years, Cheryl. They have one son, Brian Pass, also of Calhoun. Pass says he spends most of his free time going to church or laying on the beach.
