Gordon Hospital welcomes Christine Jones

CALHOUN — Gordon Hospital officials are pleased to announce that Christine Jones has joined Eduard Rojas and staff of Gordon Urology as a family nurse practitioner.

According to Pete Weber, president and CEO of Gordon Hospital, Jones’ extensive nursing career and prior experience made her the obvious choice for the position.

“We are very fortunate to have someone with Christine’s experience join our team at Gordon Hospital,” Weber says. “Gordon Urology and our community as a whole will certainly benefit from her knowledge, training, and experience.”

Prior to joining Gordon Hospital, Jones worked for First Onsite-H2U in LaFayette as a nurse practitioner providing primary care services for employees.  She has also worked for Redmond Medical Center, MedEx Staffing Solutions, Harbin Clinic Urology, and Emory Healthcare. In 2006, Jones served as Charge Nurse for Gordon Hospital’s Progressive Care Unit.

Jones received her Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from Gadsden State Community College and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Jacksonville State University. In 2006, she earned her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

“I am thrilled for the opportunity to work for Gordon Urology,” Jones says. “This community is my home and I am so happy to be working among my friends, family, and neighbors.”

Jones is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates.
