National Day of Prayer to be observed at Gordon Hospital

Submitted by Gordon Hospital

CALHOUN — On Thursday, May 2, the National Day of Prayer, Gordon Hospital is inviting all believers to form a giant human chain surrounding the hospital in a mass prayer to petition Almighty God’s providence for the citizens, institutions and challenges that Gordon County faces.

Participants are  asked to arrive on the hospital campus between 11:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. and use the special parking provided off Red Bud Road in the field close to the Emergency Center. Find a place and spread out along the prayer chalk line all the way around the hospital. Available employees will exit the hospital at 12:25 to join the circle. A fire engine’s siren will signal the beginning of the prayer at 12:30 p.m. sharp. A second siren will dismiss participants to the parking area where popcorn, fresh fruit and water will be provided. Please bring several with you to this significant action of community faith appealing for God’s power in our midst!
