Couple is a blessing to the needy

To the editor:

Dalton is very fortunate to have missions that feed and provide warm clothes to the needy. These missions rely on dedicated volunteers to help provide these services.

One couple really goes beyond the call of duty as volunteers. They are Carolyn and Herman Marcus, volunteers at Harvest Outreach in Dalton.

Carolyn and Herman help plan fundraisers, pick-up donations, run errands, plan meals, cook, take those needy people to doctors appointments and in some cases help help them to return to their hometowns when they have family to help them get back on their feet.

 To see Carolyn and Herman Marcus helping those less fortunate is to see Christianity in action.
