Tipton deserves support

To the editor:

This upcoming sheriff’s election is a very important election for my family and many others as well. Paul Tipton is running this year and we want to encourage the readers to come out and vote.

Paul was the best man at our wedding back in 1987. He and my husband served as Dalton police officers together. They became friends back then and have remained friends through the years.

As a little girl I would sometimes visit my Grandmother Greene’s church and that is where I first met Paul. My aunts and uncles grew up with Paul and were close to his family.

Whitfield County needs some positive changes and I know Paul Tipton can bring those changes. Paul is honest, educated, compassionate, enthusiastic, and dependable, he’s a husband, father, grandfather and a friend.

He is so driven to make a better Whitfield County. You can read about his past experiences and accomplishments and they are outstanding but I like to hear personal testimonies.

When you sit down and talk to him you find that his heart is so into making this happen for the good of our community.

He cares about the increase in the gang activity over the past years. Being a former police officer Paul understands where the officers are coming from and he cares about their morale. If you sit Paul down and discuss a problem with him it doesn’t take long until you see him getting involved and wanting to pitch in and help, make a difference, no matter great or small. Paul is a listener that’s out there asking the public to share their biggest concerns and ideas for a better Whitfield county. He believes in an open door policy and is willing to address the county’s problems head on.

Paul was the best man in our wedding and he is the “Best Man” for the Whitfield County Sheriff’s position.
