This is a copy of the affidavit submitted on behalf of Rick Tanner to GOP officials on the final day of qualifying. Note “I heard Rick Tanner was running for this office” in the lower right hand corner. “We the undersigned citizens of said county verify that the facts above are true and correct and are swearing to the truthfulness and accuracy” was also written on the affidavit. Board of Election members ruled the lack of Tanner’s signature made the affidavit invalid as a means of qualifying him for the July 15 GOP primary.
