Funeral services for Alleman on Wednesday in Utah

Southeast graduate was killed in Iraq

Funeral services for Michael Alleman, a 1996 graduate of Southeast High School who was killed while serving with the U.S. Army in Iraq, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Hyrum 4th Ward Chapel, 245 Apple Drive, in Hyrum, Utah.

Alleman was a fifth-grade teacher at Nibley Elementary near Logan, Utah, but abruptly resigned midway through the 2007-2008 school year to join the Army. He was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He was part of the 5/1 Stryker Brigade Combat Team.

He was the son of Boyd and Susan Alleman and survivors include his wife, Amy, and sons, Kai and Kenneth.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 E. 400 North, Logan.

Interment will be in the Hyrum City Cemetery.
