Coin show coming to trade center

The Georgia Numismatic Association’s 44th annual Coin Show will be April 18-20 at the Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center in Dalton. Show hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

More than 200 dealers will be attending the event of more than 170 tables with a variety of numismatic material for sale.

Admission and parking are free. Early bird badges will allow access to the bourse floor starting April 17 at 3 p.m. — dealer setup day — and April 18-20 beginning at 8:30 a.m. They will be available to anyone for $35 or $25 for current GNA members.

ANACS, PCI and SEGS grading services will be available for collectors who want to submit their coins for authentication and grading.

Bill Fivaz and J.T. Stanton will offer a workshop on April 19 at 11 a.m. entitled “The Cherry Picker’s Guide Workshop — Look, Listen and Learn.” It is free and open to the public.

Children of all ages may attend the free Young Collectors Program Saturday afternoon. This program featuring “Whales on Coin” will include interactive stories, exhibits, an auction and giveaways.

Specialty numismatic groups will conduct meetings during the show. Dates, times and room numbers for all events and meetings will be published in the show program issue of the GNA Journal and can be seen at www.gamoney.org. If you have a club interested in holding a meeting during the show, contact the GNA.

Interested dealers may contact bourse manager Chip Cutcliff at chascoins06@yahoo.com or call (404) 675-1648 for information concerning table availability.
