Pinwheels for Prevention will be held in Murray County on April 29 at noon at the courthouse in Chatsworth.
The Pinwheels events are used to recognize Heroes Against Child Abuse, the name of a yearly fundraiser for the Family Support Council. Many area schools participated in the fundraiser along with several local businesses and individuals.
Started in 1980, the Family Support Council is now an umbrella agency, in association with the United Way, that is home to more than a dozen programs. A chartered council of Prevent Child Abuse Georgia, the Family Support Council’s mission is to create a model community in which all children are safe.
