Area arrests for May 13

• William Michael Famber, 56, 903 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Gary Wayne Kirkland, 35, 1922 Heathcliff Drive, Apartment 5, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated stalking, simple battery (family violence) and cruelty to children.

• Marcelo Martinez-Gomes, 32, 820 Poindexter Ave., Apartment C, Chattanooga, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with second degree forgery, giving false information or a false name and criminal trespass.

• Jacob Phillip Franks, 3652 Lake Katherine Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Monday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, speeding and reckless driving.

• Filberto Nunez, 212 Lake View Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Chatsworth Police Department with DUI, speeding and DUI (endangerment of a child under 14).
