More charges filed in two-vehicle wreck

The driver in a wreck Saturday afternoon on Cleveland Highway that resulted in one person being airlifted has been arrested on several charges, including DUI and possession of meth, according to jail reports.

Amy Nicole Raburn, 26, 3558 Lake Kathy Road, Tunnel Hill, was also charged Saturday by the Georgia State Patrol with possession of tools for the commission of crime, failure to maintain lane, driving on the wrong side of the road, driving without a valid license and serious injury by vehicle.

Raburn was driving a 1999 Ford Ranger north on Cleveland Highway near Pleasant Grove Elementary School when she crossed the center line, the center turn lane and entered a southbound lane where she hit a 2005 Toyota Scion, according to a release from the Georgia State Patrol.

The driver of the Toyota, Christopher Kitts, 20, of Dalton was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. A 15-month-old male passenger was taken to Hamilton Medical Center to be evaluated, the release states.
