Bethel recognized by American Conservative Union

— The American Conservative Union has recognized state Sen. Charlie Bethel, R-Dalton, for his strong support of bills based on conservative principles during the 2013 legislation session. He was named a recipient of the group’s ACU Conservative Award at a reception at the Georgia World Congress Center.

“The ACU is one of the oldest and most consistent voices for conservative values in our nation. I am proud to have earned recognition from them,” said Bethel. “Our personal liberties will cease to exist if we do not continually fight to protect them.”

In 2012, the ACU recognized Bethel with its Defender of Liberty Award.
