Chattanooga Film Festival launches website and opens film submissions

Submitted by the Chattanooga Film Festival

— CHATTANOOGA — The Chattanooga Film Festival has launched a website and will accept short and feature film submissions until March 5.

Films by local and regional filmmakers will be handpicked by the festival team and premiered at the festival. The goal is to pick the strongest films that showcase the culture of our region and provide the filmmaker with the exposure he or she deserves.

“The festival team is extremely excited to get the submissions process opened up. We look forward to pouring over every single film we receive,” said Chris Dortch, festival director.

Students are invited to submit films for a significantly lowered fee with valid student identification.

“This festival is designed to showcase filmmakers at every level,” said Mara Tasker, director of programming. “Discovering the next generation of talent is a key pillar of the event.”
