From Staff Reports
If you missed out on the first printing of The Daily Citizen’s historical photograph book, you’re in luck.
“Memory Lane: A Pictorial History of Dalton and Whitfield County, Georgia” is again available for purchase from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the newspaper’s office at 308 S. Thornton Ave. Each book is $24.
Supplies are limited during this special re-printing.
The 84-page book contains scores of photos from Dalton and Whitfield County’s past, all of which were submitted by area residents. There are photos of downtown Dalton and historic buildings and plenty of memories of days gone by — from the Civil War era up to the 1980s.
There was an overwhelming response from the community with hundreds of photographs submitted. Since there were so many photographs contributed to the project, The Daily Citizen unfortunately was not able to use all of them. Thank you to everyone who submitted photographs.
