— A woman accused in the murder and robbery of a convenience store clerk remains in the Whitfield County jail as she faces a bond hearing Friday morning in Superior Court.

Skyy Raven-Marie Mims, 21, whose last known residence is Detroit, Mich., is charged with murder and armed robbery in the killing of Dahyabhai Kalidas Chaudmari, 37, at the Hi-Tech Fuel gas station at 3385 Airport Road in Dalton Sunday night.

Authorities remain tight-lipped about the investigation, but several details have emerged in the case from a friend of Mims, the person believed to have discovered Chaudmari and a 911 call placed after the store clerk’s body was found.

• Mark Rogers, who made the 911 call and appears to have been the first person to discover the body, found Chaudmari on the store floor, laying on his back in a pool of blood. His eyes and mouth had been duct-taped shut and there was change scattered behind the cash register.

• Ibrahim Max, a Maryland resident who says he is a friend of Mims, talked to the accused murderer hours after the crime happened. Max said she sounded “bothered.”

• Mims is scheduled for a bond hearing Friday morning at 9 a.m. before Superior Court Judge Jack Partain.
