Grand jury returns indictments

— The Whitfield County grand jury met Thursday and returned the following indictments:



• Tony Morales Adame, 20, 892 Manis Road, Dalton, for first degree burglary, theft by taking and theft by deception.

• Margaret Amenita, 38, 402 Apison Road, Cohutta (co-defendant with James Harold Leamon), for manufacturing meth, violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and possession of a drug-related object.

• Jeffery Allan Amos, 35, 481 Barry Bennett Drive, Chatsworth, for violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, possession of a drug-related object and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

• Bruce Wayne Bailey, 45, 113 E. Emery St., Dalton, for distribution of meth and possession of meth with intent to distribute.

• Chayne Allen Bailey, 23, 2501 Dug Gap Road, Dalton (co-defendant with Katherine Leishann Wheat), for attempting to traffic meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of meth and possession of ephedrine and pseudoephedrine with the intent to manufacture meth.

• Kelvin Lamar Bonds, 39, 111 Fields Ave., Dalton, for theft by shoplifting and possession of a drug-related object.

• Derick Thomas Bryson, 23, 1925 Frankie Drive, Dalton, for theft by taking.

• David Felton Carroll, 53, 930 Mount Vernon Road, Dalton, for terroristic threats and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

• Kenyon Cody Carter, 30, 1075 Laura Ave., Tallahassee, for possession of amphetamine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and DUI.

• Tessa Centers, 29, 220 Scobie Ave., Dalton, for first degree burglary.

• Kenneth Alan Conklin, 33, 118 Herron St.-A, Fort Oglethorpe, for obstruction of a law enforcement officer and simple battery.

• Robin Cooper Conlon, 59, 114 N. Rainsong Road, Dalton, for obstruction of a law enforcement officer and DUI.

• Miranda Ann Dyer, 28, 586 Apple Road, Ranger, for theft by taking, criminal trespass and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

• Marlene Georgette Eaker, 45, 129 Cantrell Terrace, Tunnel Hill, for possession of meth and possession of cocaine.

• Thomas Joey Emberson, (aka Thomas Jody Emberson), 33, 3179 Cleveland Highway, Dalton, for identity fraud and possession of marijuana.

• Victor Manuel Esqueda-Loreda, 43, 505 Alice Drive, Dalton, for first degree forgery and identity fraud.

• Curtis Evans, 57, 357 Stanley St., Dalton, for violation of the state Sexual Offender Registry law.

• Riley Jackson Newby, 39, 220 Dove Road, Rocky Face (co-defendant with Tina Marie Newby), for violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act and illegal use of a communication facility.

• Tina Marie Newby, 37, 220 Dug Road, Rocky Face (co-defendant with Riley Jackson Newby), for violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act and illegal use of a communication facility.

• Danny Carl Pack, 52, 402 N. Lakeshore Drive, Tunnel Hill, for possession of meth and possession of cocaine.

• Gregory Allen Rann, 47, 902 Henderson Drive, Dalton, for violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and possession of a drug-related object. For a second case, theft by taking and criminal damage to property in the second degree.

• Patricia Jaquiline Rhea, 32, 4041 Keith Valley Road, Dalton, for theft by shoplifting.

• Jelani Oba Kehind Sorrell, 29, 1302 Duncan Ave., Chattanooga, for violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act.

• William Lee Silvers, 39, 3325 River Road, Dalton, for violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act and possession of a drug-related object.

• Curtis Jerome Sullivan, 28, 675 Chili Ave., New York, for fleeing to elude a police officer.

• Jacob Lyle Swanson, 23, 486 Megan Drive, Dalton, for violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act.

• Debra Diane Tancrede, 41, 217 Cedar Ridge Road, Chatsworth, for possession of meth with intent to distribute.

• Ervin Hayward Watson (aka Ervin Haywood Watson, aka Karim Ali, aka Dennis Black, aka Reginald Scott Watson, aka Reginald Watts), 56, 3954 Parc Lorraine Circle, Lithonia, for false statements and first degree forgery.

• Bernadette Bowie Whatley, 43, 137 Bloomington Drive, Dalton, for withholding information from practitioner.

• Katherine Leishann Wheat, 22, 702 Tinsley St., Dalton, (co-defendant with Chayne Allen Bailey), for attempting to traffic meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of meth and possession of ephedrine and pseudoephedrine with intent to manufacture meth.



The grand jury chose not to indict the following:



• Lloyd Arthur Grasser, 36, Summerville, originally charged with terroristic threats and battery.

• Aaron Blake Hedgepath, 20, Trion, originally charged with terroristic threats and battery.

• Amy Michelle Manis, 32, Dalton, originally charged with DUI and a Move Over violation.

• Armanda Miranda, 20, Hapeville, originally charged with trafficking in meth, possession of meth and possession of meth with intent to distribute.

• Jorge Luis Miranda, 19, no address on file, originally charged with trafficking in meth, possession of meth and possession of meth with intent to distribute.

• Brandon Lee Silvers, 27, Varnell, originally charged with battery.

• William Lee Silvers, 32, Dalton, originally charged with aggravated assault. (Editor’s note: This is a different individual than the William Lee Silvers listed in the indictments.)
