Missing man still sought by family

Reward now offered

The family of Michael “Paw” Franks is still looking for him and he’s still considered missing. The Dalton Police Department received several leads last week but the sightings were spread out from Rome to Marion County, Tenn., and a few points in between.

The family is offering a $300 reward for information about his whereabouts. They still believe he may have been trying to get to Knoxville, Tenn.

Franks, 48, was last seen leaving his apartment at 820 Shugart Road at approximately 7 p.m. on Feb. 16. His cellphone was found at the Greyhound bus station in Chattanooga. He is a white male approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 190 pounds.

Anyone with information about Franks’ whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Matt Lowery at (706) 278-9085, ext. 133.
