— At least seven people were injured and transported to Hamilton Medical Center in a two-car wreck at the corner of West Walnut Avenue and Judd Terrace Wednesday afternoon, according to law enforcement and fire department officials.

“One vehicle lost control. We’re not sure why,” said Bruce Frazier, Dalton Police Department spokesman. “We’ll look into it. The most serious injury was broken ribs, but there was nothing life threatening about the wreck.”

Hamilton Emergency Medical Services and the Dalton Fire Department assisted. They helped someone who was stuck in one of the vehicles, a dispatcher with Whitfield County 911 said.

“Someone was either stuck or was having a hard time getting out of the car,” the dispatcher said. “There was a lot of body damage to one of the vehicles, but they were able to get everyone out and to the hospital.”
