Submitted by Coahulla Creek High School

— Coahulla Creek High School will host a 40-plus float parade on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at the Coahulla Creek campus.

The parade will last about 45 minutes to an hour. The public is invited to bring blankets and chairs to celebrate with students and staff as they march the one-mile loop around the school. Admission is free.

Students from Beaverdale Elementary School, Cohutta Elementary School, Dawnville Elementary School, Varnell Elementary School and North Whitfield Middle School will also take part in the parade, designing floats to go alongside Coahulla Creek floats.

The floats are designed by students and clubs including Coahulla Creek’s athletic teams. The Coahulla Creek homecoming court will be presented.

The Northwest Whitfield High School Marching Band will lead the parade with Superintendent Judy Gilreath acting as the grand marshal.
