— A Murray County man accused of threatening a family member with a gun remained in the Murray County jail without bond Wednesday evening.

Chris Roger Defore, 42, of 220 Rebel Lane, Chatsworth, was charged Sunday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with terroristic threats and acts, aggravated assault and first degree burglary.

Sheriff’s office Maj. Greg Fowler said officers were called to a Torino Drive address for a domestic violence incident. When they arrived late Saturday night, they were told Defore had left. They found him at his home on Rebel Lane. They surrounded the house and told him to come out, which he did after several minutes, according to an incident report.

Fowler said the weekend incident led to the aggravated assault charge. The other charges stem from a warrant on Defore for another incident in which he is accused of breaking into a house and threatening a woman.
