Area church news

• Antioch Baptist Church holds Homecoming on Sunday, June 3 at 10:30 a.m. Special singers are Phillip Wells and Karen Gains from Summerville. Guest speaker is Brother Bob Bagley, Associational Missionary. Lunch follows morning service. The church is at 1205 Antioch Drive. Pastor Donald Cantrell invites everyone.

• Bethel United Methodist Church holds Homecoming on Sunday, June 10. Singing begins at 10 a.m. followed by the service at 11 a.m. Lunch is at noon. Everyone is invited. Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish.

• Homecoming is set at Casey Springs United Methodist Church on Sunday. Former Pastor Kenneth Phillips will bring the message  and Maybelle Knight  is scheduled to sing. Service begins at 10L30 a.m. The church is at 7520 Highway 225 in Chatsworth.

• City View Church of God hosts a gospel singing featuring Copper City, Heart to Heart, Lisa Herald and The Gospel 3 Sunday at 6 p.m. The church is at 3688 Chatsworth Highway in Dalton. Pastor Gerald Foster invites everyone.

• Homecoming at Concord United Methodist Church in Villanow is Sunday beginning at 10:30 a.m. with singing by The Millionaires and Sing for the King. The worship service begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by dinner on the grounds and more singing. The church is on Concord Church Road, less than a mile off Highway 136. Concord is thought to be the oldest church in Walker County, according to “The History of Walker County” historical tome. For more information, call (706) 483-8564.

• A Men’s Fellowship Breakfast is scheduled at Crosspointe Christian Centre (cpdalton.com) at 2681 Underwood St. in Dalton on Saturday, June 16 from 8 to 9:30. Guest speaker is Don Asbell. Crosspointe’s phone number is (706) 278-2649.

• Eagle Wing Deliverance Church has moved to 528 Maddox Drive in East Ellijay. Services are every Sunday night at 6. Pastor Evelyn Adams invites everyone. For more information or directions, call Adams at (706) 337-3241.

• Free Hope Baptist Church at 4176 Highway 76 in Chatsworth will have its annual Vacation Bible School June 18-22 from 6 to 9 nightly. Friday, June 22, is Family Night. The theme will be “Amazing Wonders Aviation: Encountering God’s Awesome Power.” There will be classes for all ages, including adults. For more information, call (706) 695-3717.
