— Investigators are seeking the public’s help in finding a 15-year-old Dalton girl who has been missing since Aug. 29.

Andrea Sawyers walked away from her residence that day, and her guardian hasn’t seen her since, according to a news release from the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office.

She has white skin, is about 5 feet, 3 inches, and weighs about 135 pounds. She has long brown hair that falls below her shoulders. On the day she left, she was wearing a black tank top, black sweat pants and flip flops.

Authorities have her listed as a runaway, and a runaway warrant has been issued, “as she left her residence after an argument with her guardian,” according to the release.

Capt. Rick Swiney said authorities are now concerned for her safety.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Sgt. Scott McAllister at (706) 876-1476.
