Restaurant report card — Whitfield County

Whitfield County Environmental Health conducts inspections of restaurants. The inspectors may require a re-inspection. Restaurants are required by law to post their most recent inspection permit.

The Daily Citizen lists areas where the establishments are out of compliance with the regulations. Recent restaurant scores for all six counties within the North Georgia Health District are available at www.nghd.org.

Comments: Wet stacking. Air dry equipment/utensils. Protect utensils from re-contamination after wash/rinse/sanitize. Invert single-service items. Corrected on site. Regular board is not permitted as it is difficult to keep clean.

Comments: Unclean and torn gaskets were observed in prep cooler. Replace torn gasket and maintain all of them clean, free from debris. Repair leak in vegetable/meat sinks.

Comments: Sauce bottles were observed stored and ready for use, but still had sticky residue on outside of bottle, some debris inside and lids not properly washed. Properly wash and rinse all food containers/utensils until residue and buildup is removed. Sanitize after proper residue removal. Shelving must be cleaned and maintained free of debris to sight and touch. Also, maintain containers clean before storing clean food utensils.
