The Dalton State College assistant basketball coach injured in a Monday evening wreck continues to be treated at an Atlanta hospital.
Dalton State Athletic Director Derek Waugh said John Redman’s condition remained the same on Friday as it did the day before. Redman is in stable condition at Grady Memorial Hospital with head trauma and several broken bones.
The injuries are from a wreck in Meriwether County, about 40 miles south of Atlanta, in which investigators say Redman lost control of the Lexus he was driving and crashed into a concrete wall. The impact killed his fiancee, Brittany Huber, who was a teacher’s aide at City Park School.
Waugh said Redman has been in a drug-induced sleep to help him recover from swelling on his brain.
Supporters are working to raise money to help the families through the website www.caringbridge.org/visit/johnredman, where they are also posting updates on Redman’s status.
