Coon hunters benefit Saturday

The Murray County Coon Hunters Association will hold its annual Spring Classic Shrine Benefit this Saturday at its clubhouse.

A yard sale will begin at 7 a.m. Lunch and breakfast will be available. Food will be sold by the Rome Shrine Club and all proceeds will go to the Shrine Hospital for Children. There will be gospel music.

A bench show starts at 4 p.m. with a $20 entry fee. A children’s bench show is at 4:30 p.m. and is free. An auction starts at 5 p.m., and a two-hour hunt starts at 8 p.m. with a $20 entry fee.

To get to the clubhouse, go on Highway 411 and take Highway 52 East towards Fort Mountain. Turn right on to Old Federal Road South. The clubhouse is two miles on the right.
