From Staff Reports
The Dalton Police Department is investigating more than 15 incidences of cars being shot by a BB or pellet gun near Underwood Street since March 8 and is asking for the public’s help.
About half of the incidents occurred that weekend and the others this weekend, the department said in a press release. Several cars parked along the street in neighborhoods off of Underwood Street were left with dents or broken windows.
“Investigators do not believe that these incidents are connected to the series of BB gun shootings last summer that left dozens of businesses with shattered windows,” the press release said.
The three men charged in that case hope to pay restitution before their next court date, the attorney for one of the men said earlier this year.
Anyone with information on the most recent incidents is asked to contact Detective Jason Bishop at (706) 278-9085, ext. 214.
