Restaurant report card — Whitfield County

Whitfield County Environmental Health conducts inspections of restaurants. The inspectors may require a re-inspection. Restaurants are required by law to post their most recent inspection permit.

The Daily Citizen lists areas where the establishments are out of compliance with the regulations. Recent restaurant scores for all six counties within the North Georgia Health District are available at www.nghd.org.

Comments: Cooked, potentially hazardous foods (lasagna, ground beef) were observed in cooler and not date marked. Both were made yesterday. Date mark all prepared and/or potentially hazardous food with date it was made/opened or the use-by date.

Comments: The ice machine’s internal pieces were observed to contain visible buildup of dust and lint. All is surrounding ice and can easily contaminate it. Remove all buildup to avoid contamination, and wash, rinse and sanitize equipment in contact with ice (white separator). Edges and corners on inside of sink were observed to have black buildup. Scrub, rinse and sanitize three-compartment sink to avoid buildup.
