The Dalton Lions Club Christmas Parade is Thursday, Dec. 6., in downtown Dalton. Awards will be given for floats with the best use of theme, most enthusiastic, and most creative.
The parade begins at 6 p.m. with lineup starting at 4 p.m. Parade entries will be lined up in the order they arrive.
The parade route is as follows: Beginning on Waugh Street at Jones Street, right on Hamilton Street, right on West Morris Street, right on Thornton Avenue, left on Crawford to end at Harmon Field.
All walkers will turn right on Jones to end at First Baptist Church. All floats and passengers will end at Harmon Field.
Proceeds from entry fees are used for the service to the blind and visually impaired in the Dalton area. Funds stay and work in our community. Since 1917, Lions’ have demonstrated their commitment to sight conservation through eyeglass recycling, sight partnerships and countless other sight services. The Dalton Noon Lions Club is sponsoring this year’s parade and to have the opportunity to give something back to the community for years of support.
