Murray to start road paving projects

CHATSWORTH — Murray County sole commissioner Jim Welch approved $267,000 in road paving contracts at a called meeting on Thursday.

The contract was part of the annual Local Assistance Road Program (LARP). The state grants money for the paving materials and the work is done by county road crews, Welch said.

Portions of these roads are expected to be paved, according to information provided by Welch’s office:

• Arrowhead Drive

• Booger Branch Spur

• Carlton Petty Road

• Crestview Drive

• Greyland Farm Road

• Kinser Drive

• Springplace Smyrna Road

• Daffodil Road

• Daylillie Lane

• Douthitt Road

• Ellijay Street

• Holly Creek Road

• Poinsetta Lane

• Victory Lane
