A Chatsworth man charged with molesting a child relative is in jail without bond.
Travis Wade Pickle, 35, of 402 Southern Circle, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with child molestation.
According to an incident report, deputies responded after the girl, who is upper elementary school age, told her mother that Pickle had been messing with her private area for a long time but had threatened that he would be mad at her if she told anyone.
The report states that when deputies showed up to talk to Pickle on Aug. 23, he “stated that he knew why we were there and that he hadn’t done anything.” Pickle told investigators he played with the girl by poking her in the ribs and wrestling in the floor and that he “may have touched ... inappropriately while playing but that he didn’t mean to,” according to the report.
Pickle was arrested a week later.
