Members of the Whitfield County Board of Education are set to consider student discipline and student dress code matters at their meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the central office, 1306 S. Thornton Ave. in Dalton.
Board members are also expected to review policies related to the school system’s wellness program, cafeteria services and employee and student tobacco use.
Also on the agenda are donation checks. According to the agenda, donation checks have been made for new soccer uniforms at Valley Point Middle School, improvements to the Dug Gap Elementary School parking lot and funding for instruction at Phoenix High School. Another donation was made by OMNOVA Solutions in honor of Daryl Dobbins to fund efforts at Cohutta Elementary School. The Tunnel Hill Police Department is also set to donate a car to the Northwest Georgia College and Career Academy.
