Kathleen “Kathy” Williams, 70, of Cohutta, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at her residence.
She was born in Cleveland, Ga., on June 7, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Albert and Alice Lewis.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Suzanne Johnson, Fred “B.F.” Smith and brothers, Lloyd, Vernon, Jim and John Lewis.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Cecil Williams of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Deano Staten of Tunnel Hill; three stepchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Kenneth Cooper, Daisy and Fonz DeMey, Charlotte and Joe Dixon and Janie and Jim Horton, all of Ringgold; three brothers, Earl, Jerry and Ricky, all of Ringgold; grandchildren, Michael and Misty Johnson of Chatsworth, Crystal and Kevin Powell of Cleveland, Tenn., and Cory Hall of Tunnel Hill; one great-granddaughter, Jada Johnson of Chatsworth; nieces and nephews.
The funeral to honor the life of Kathy Williams is Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Teague, the Rev. Larry Chastain and the Rev. Blain Phillips officiating.
Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 9 p.m.
