Kenneth Arthur Weise
Mr. Kenneth Arthur Weise, 86, of Cohutta and formerly of Orlando, Fla., died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at Hamilton Medical Center.
Mr. Weise was born July 24, 1922 in Kenosha, Wis., a son of the late Arthur Paul and Margaret Schmidt Weise. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Gertrude McGinn Weise.
He was Catholic and was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the VFW. Mr. Weise served his country during World War II in the United States Navy.
Mr. Weise is survived by his children and their spouses, Daniel and Cris Weise of Largo, Fla.; Ann Hamer of Tunnel Hill; Timothy and Jill Weise of Racine, Wis.; Patrick and Christa Weise of Oviedo, Fla.; and Michael and Maura Kalafut of Cohutta; grandchildren, Ryan, Ben, Charles, Sarah, Chance and Mariah Weise, Meaghan, Macavan and Madeleine Kalafut; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Weise of Iowa and Donald Weise of New Mexico.
The family will receive friends Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home.
Mr. Weise will then be sent to the Newcomer Funeral Home in Orlando where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
Burial will be at Bushnell National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. The family requests that flowers be omitted and donations be made in memory of Mr. Weise to the charity of your choice.
