Christine Cagle Akins Gray
Mrs. Christine Cagle Akins Gray, 62, of Dalton, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008 at her residence.
Christine was born Jan. 1, 1946 in Murray County, daughter of the late Homer Jackson and Ruth Mae Cagle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Bo Gray; brothers, Hansel and Harold Cagle; sisters, Rosie Byess and Virginia Collins.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Don Trammell of Cleveland, Tenn. and Tonya and Jason Long of Calhoun; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Betty Ann Cagle of Preston and David and Carolyn Cagle of Chatsworth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and Herman Witherow of Dalton, Shelby and Eddie Rymer, Shirlene and Frank Brown, Juanita Powell and Shirley and Sammy Johnson of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Zackery and Brittany Phillips, Kinsley, Taylor and Griffin Long; great-grandchild, Kyleigh Phillips; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Gray are Wednesday at noon in the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Pastor Bret Yaeger officiating.
She will be laid to rest at the Casey Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m.
