Mr. Frank Flood Jr., 78, of Chatsworth, passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013.
Mr. Flood was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church since 1951, a member of the Eton Masonic Lodge since 1972, was the Murray County coroner from 1976-1980 and was a member of the rescue squad for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Flood Sr. and Lilie Patterson Flood; wife, Jennie Green Flood; siblings, Thelma Manis, N.E. Flood, Cecil Flood, Roosevelt Flood, S.L. Flood and John Dewy Flood.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Tina Flood, Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Randy Harris, Ruth Ann and Jimmy Townsend, all of Chatsworth; brothers and sister-in-law, Montie Flood, Lewis and Ruby Flood, all of Chatsworth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Grady Rich, Leona and Lum Willis, all of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Chad Ballew, Heather Ballew, Jana Hicks, Amy Vance, Mason Townsend, Frankie Flood and Anita Hill; great-grandchildren, Jacob Ballew, Ashten Ballew, Kaitlyn Sneed, Becca Spears, Natalie Spears, Trevor Hicks, Leland Hooper, Rena Flood, Breanna Edwards and Megan Edwards; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Flood will be Monday at 2 p.m. from Lakeview Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Thomason, the Rev. Gene Ratcliff and the Rev. Donnie Flood officiating. Interment will be in Fair Valley Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends starting today from 5 to 9 p.m. and all day Sunday until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
