Ms. Ona Mae Garrison, 94, of Chatsworth and formerly of the Beaverdale community, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013.
She was born Oct. 29, 1919, in Hattiesburg, Miss., daughter of the late Luther and Eva (Goswick) Barclay. Two brothers proceeded her in death, L.M. and Marion Eugene Barclay.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Garrison of Mohave Valley, Ariz.; grandchildren and spouse, Michelle Garrison of Chatsworth, and Chad and Shawn Garrison of Dalton; grandchildren, Keisha and Kolby Keener of Chatsworth, and Noah Garrison of Dalton; brother, Willie Frank Barclay of Atlanta; special niece, Paulette LeClair of Newnan; and a special friend “who is like a son,” Louis Boyatt, and daughter-in-law, Carol Byers.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Brown officiating.
Interment will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from noon to 3 p.m.
