Mrs. Evelyn E. Keith Howard, 94, of Chatsworth, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at her home.
She was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar.
Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Millie Keith; husband, Stephen Lee Howard; daughters, Linda Howard and Dorothy Howard Bishop; son, Stephen Lee “Junior” Howard; sister, Frances Campbell; brothers, H. Keith and Bill Keith; and son-in-law, Raymond Elrod.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, William and Grace Howard, David Howard and Steve Howard, all of Chatsworth; Betty Elrod and Patsy Flood, both of Chatsworth; sister, Claudell Elrod of Chatsworth; grandchildren and spouses, Gene and Connie Elrod, Jamie and Tammy Elrod, Rick and Pam Elrod, Ray and Sherrie Flood, Ted and Staci Flood, Theresa and Keith Amos, Mande and Joseph Logan, Tim Howard, Edward Coker, Lois Williams, Kathy Teasley, Vickie Allmon, Gloria Chamblee, Mike Howard, and Sissy Howard; 16 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Howardare are today at 4 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Church Cemetery.
The family received friends Thursday at the funeral home.
