Geneva May Markos, 84, of Dalton, passed away on Thursday morning, Aug. 15, 2013.
Geneva was born on Oct. 3, 1928, in Flint, Mich.
She was the daughter of the late Clayton and Geneva Matthews.
She was married to her late husband, William James Markos.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Richard Howe of Dalton; grandchildren, Richard Howe II, Scott Howe and James Howe, four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brother, Russell Robins; sister, Virginia Smith; granddaughter Cassandra Howe; grandson, Timothy Howe.
A funeral to celebrate the life of Geneva May Markos will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Minter officiating.
Interment will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Colonial Hills Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m.
