John Bryan Presley, 65 of Fairmount, passed away on Friday evening, Sept. 6, 2013, at his home.
Born on Oct. 12, 1947, John was the son of the late Leon and Emma Pressley.
He was married to the love of his life, Loretta, for 25 years. John served in the U.S. Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Presley; daughters and a son-in-law, Amanda Baggett of Douglasville and Michelle and Kevin Collum of Calhoun; sons, Rodney Presley of Gainesville, Randy Presley of Martin and Rowdy Presley of Gainesville; a brother, Leon Presley of Dahlonega; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jetty Mincey of Canton, Peggy and Wayne Allen of Braselton, Mildred and Clyde McDaris of Dalton and Margaret Woodall of Gainesville; five grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Henry Pressley.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of John Presley is today at 3 p.m. at the Church of God of Prophecy in Plainville with the Rev. Jerry Gaddis officiating.
