James Franklin Cantrell of Dalton went to sleep Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, to await the coming of the Lord. He was at his residence in Kissimmee, Fla., surrounded by immediate family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Cantrell; grandparents, Elvis and Cecil Deal and Steve and Lemma Cantrell.
He is survived by his husband, Earl Harris of Kissimmee; mother and stepfather, Geneva and Phillip Edwards; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Leon Crowder; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Joyce Cantrell; aunts and uncles, Eva and Clyde Sanders of Orlando, Fla., Lucille and Howard Ogle, Bessie and Calvin Selvidge, Faye Wilkins and Nesbit Cantrell of Dalton; nieces and nephews, Michael Cantrell, Robert Carlson, Rickey and Gerard Collins, Robin Woolcott, Tiffany Crowder, Mark (Buddy) Gillespie, and Johnny Crowder; special cousin, Roy Selvidge and friend Martha Smith.
Burial will be at United Memorial Gardens.
A memorial service will be Sunday, Sept. 29, at 3 p.m. at Good News Baptist Church, 1808 Cooper Road, Cohutta.
James’ wishes were that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society of Utah via their website at www.utahhumane.org.
