Mr. Douglas Scott “Doug” Manis, 46, of Chatsworth, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013.
Doug was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Tennga.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marcus “Fate” Manis.
Survivors include his wife, Holly Ann Manis of the home; mother, Georgia Manis, Chatsworth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlie and Christa Manis, Mark, Greg and Joel Manis, all of Chatsworth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Louie Silvers and June and Jimmy Sluder, all of Chatsworth; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rande and Dawn Harness, Ringgold; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Larry Hightower, Chatsworth, Brenda and Allen Palmer, Dalton, and Jean and Jeremy Smith, Cohutta; special friends, Jeff and Jamie Stanley; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Manis will be Sunday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Moore and the Rev. Scotty Baker officiating.
Interment will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
