Donald Joseph “Polock” Bartczak, 77, of New Kensington, Pa., and formerly of Dalton, departed this life Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Pa.
Don was born Feb. 28, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph Jennie Obradovich Bartczak. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Willa Mae Millsaps Bartczak; son, Charles Bartczak; grandson, Andrew Joseph Bartczak; one sister.
He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. He worked as a truck driver for more than 30 years for Shaw Industries.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Anne Wojcik Bartczak of New Kensington, Pa.; children, Tony and Vickie Bartczak of Dalton, David “Joey” and Angela Bartczak of Indiana, Jackie Derreberry of Mississippi, Pamela Williams of Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Services to celebrate the life of Donald Joseph “Polock” Bartczak will be Monday at 4 p.m. at McCayesville Church of Christ with Robbie Eversoe and Keith Richie officiating. He will be laid to rest at Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
